Without knowing it exactly, I suspect that glass can be quite good for sound insulation.
The reason why glass usually doesn’t help much is because it is always made as thin as possible.
Sound insulation is created by mass ... and glass is hard and heavy. Yes, but only soundproof glass; otherwise, it’s useless.

In the hallway, you have 10 cm (4 inches) of pipe length, but it’s not a separate heating circuit where the temperature drops along the heating pipes. Instead, constantly "hot" supply pipes run through the hallway. In my opinion, these should be insulated to avoid local overheating. However, we have all the return pipes where the temperature is significantly lower. So, on average, the temperature is similar to the other rooms.

What would you as a homeowner suggest as a “request” to the heating installer for the underfloor heating?
Unfortunately, I am not familiar with this topic, and as of today, I would say: “Please lay the loops as close together as possible so the supply temperature can be low.” I would emphasize these points: low supply temperature, install the loops as closely spaced as possible, and keep the heating circuits roughly the same length. Planning and calculations should be done by a building services engineer (mechanical, electrical, plumbing specialist) rather than the pipe manufacturer. We are currently seeing this with our neighbors: in their house, heating circuits vary from 20 m (65 feet) to 120 m (394 feet) in length.

Oh, then they’ll also install venetian blinds 😉Or “smart glass,” that frosted glass at the push of a button.
