...and exactly that is what I find more visually appealing. The parallelism, yes. But depending on the position of the sun, a joint edge can sometimes coincide exactly with the "light boundary" (making even the smallest unevenness noticeable) – right?

Sorry, maybe this sounds harsh in hindsight... but I would have laid the parquet flooring at a 90-degree angle... However, the wood is very nice Why should that be harsh?
I would probably have done it like you, but the expert says this way is better.
And as mentioned, it depends on the lighting and so on. Also, it visually widens the part that appears narrow.

Haven’t seen much of Axel’s house lately, right? Dear friends of home building,
here is the promised update along with a photo, taken just now in the first light of the day at 8:15 a.m.
Over the past two days, the ground floor of the main house has made good progress. In the picture, you can see the completed north side (4 windows, from left to right: shower / toilet, pantry, 2x kitchen). The west side is also finished. You can see the kitchen window and the opening for the sliding door to the terrace in front of the future dining room. On the east side, the door opening to the future study can be seen. The large opening on the south side marks the passage to the future living room. Since the extensions for the study and living room will not have basements, these parts of the building will come a little later, only after the basement has been insulated, covered, and backfilled from the outside.
Best regards
Axel
