Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

The upholstery is made of leather.
A window seat always looks nice and makes the room feel cozy, in my opinion. Whether we will use it a lot later, I don’t know, but for the relatively low price, it definitely creates a focal point in the house and enhances the room or the window.

Hi @spochtsfreund, I really like your window seat. How was the base structure made? Drywall construction? Did you build the drawers yourself, or where did you get them from?

Here is the continuation with the driveway walls. They are a bit bulky, but otherwise, the height difference couldn’t have been bridged. At some point, we would like to cover the walls with natural stone, if we ever have the budget for it again!

Hello, glad you like it. The window seat was built solidly by the shell builder using masonry. The surface was then simply plastered. I’m attaching the relevant picture. I made the boxes myself from MDF. Nothing fancy, but it works.
Best regards

At first, I also wanted a reading corner/kids' area for when guests come over, but the exterior appearance would have suffered a bit. I’d like to keep it flexible and maybe find a good alternative.
