Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Someone from Thuringia.
Yes, I have friends here who are self-employed and all have high standards.
But what is happening in the living area is really troubling both of us. The neighbors chose a different paint; we used Capasilan from Caparol, and they used Brillux Superlux ELF.

Let's see what happens tomorrow, he wants to take a look then.

If the craftsman also has high standards, it will turn out well.
The ceiling elements look very good.

I wouldn’t mind at all—raking light often reveals where and how the painting was done. It’s quite noticeable in our home too, because the ceilings aren’t plastered evenly, creating a sort of small hill landscape 🙁. That makes it really unattractive! I’ve gotten used to it anyway 😀, after a while you just stop noticing.

But it’s no use if it bothers YOU 🙂.

My painter was just here; the ceiling will be sprayed again next week.

And are you sure that the substructure is not showing through here? Tap on those spots. It is quite noticeable along the entire length!

Yes, the paint doesn’t seem to have fully covered. You can clearly see the patchiness even without raking light.
The stripes between the lights are very noticeable... but everything there is just as it was.
I think what you are seeing is the "light edge" created by the outside corner... The ground floor extends 0.9m (3 feet) above the basement.
