Yes, but your paving will start to settle unevenly quite soon, which will cause depressions in the ground, etc. This is very impractical for a workshop, so I would think carefully about it.

Does anyone know approximately how much such a renovation might cost? I have found some information online, but the ranges are always very wide.

Why should the paving settle...
if it is installed correctly, it is not an issue.

It always settles because it is not built on solid ground. And when you drive a car over it, depressions form. Unfortunately, this cannot be prevented.

If concrete has been poured under the paving, it won’t settle at all. You just have to invest a bit more money in that case.

No one pours concrete under paving; that would completely defeat the whole purpose. How else would the water be able to drain properly??
