Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Very nice.
Is it possible that nothing of the house or its design was visible here before?
There are a few pictures here already, but no floor plan – I can still add one.

Rumors?

Oh yes, among other things, why it took so long from the demolition (March) to the start of construction (August).
My favorite is "skulls were found."
Not as boring as the other explanations.

Aside from that, the house will collapse over the weekend. The thin walls can’t support the roof.

That’s just how it is in the village with a male Else Kling as a neighbor. I guess half of it started because of him.

Please let us know on Monday!

Although, it really does look quite slim for an exterior wall (from what I saw a few posts earlier).

What is the wall construction like when everything is finished?

PS: With all those skulls, you could definitely create a nice corner in the garden. Ideally placed so the neighbor can see it well!

@haydee please tell us about your wall construction. How do you achieve thermal insulation?

Wall structure
from inside to outside
Paint, painter’s fleece, drywall. 15 cm (6 inches) solid wood, 30 cm (12 inches) insulation, followed by base coat and finish plaster.
The 15 cm (6 inches) solid wood layer looks quite slim. Especially compared to the ceiling with 24 cm (9.5 inches) solid wood.

And the wood smells heavenly. It’s almost a pity that it disappears. Only the wooden floor, wooden doors, and furniture provide enough visible wood.

All set; the ground floor walls are scheduled to arrive on October 6th....
