Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

So the plastering is done...

Now it’s time to ventilate, ventilate, and ventilate :-(

Oh no, isn’t that the walk-through kitchen? I thought you had made it bigger

No, it’s not huge.

But we wanted to place it there.

Now people always walk past the kitchen to get to the living room.
I think it fits well.

The floor still needs to be installed, but a floating kitchen also looked awkward...

New year, new luck,

the contractors are keeping up the pace. At the end of last week, the foundation was waterproofed, and today Styrofoam insulation was installed on the lower part. The rest will be insulated with Rockwool.

Construction site: small white block structure with black foundation waterproofing next to shell construction with scaffolding.

The roofer also continued work today and started installing the gutter on the house.

Roof edge: underroof membrane, wooden battens, metal edge flashing, scaffolding platform, field in the background.

And these will be our roof tiles.

The windows and doors are expected to arrive tomorrow.

I'm really excited!

Some night photos after a light snowfall in mid-December.
We completed the terrace construction in autumn and nearly finished the landscaping just before Christmas.
The rolled turf also established very well in early December with mild rainy weather.
The hedge shown in the first picture wasn’t planted yet; we added it a little later.
The road is still the construction access road.

Stylish!

And JEALOUSY!
I want to be in my house too – but at the moment, construction is paused.
Until the registration in the land register is completed and we get access to our financing *sigh*
