Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

But deadly HDR, right?

Seriously, we have vacation photos that are, for the most part, nicer with the smartphone than those taken with the DSLR. I should add, I’m talking about snapshots taken in the evening at the hotel restaurant or by the pool.
What the software processing does live during the shot is truly impressive.

I’m surprised too, at how good they are. Despite having a DSLR camera, I can’t take nice pictures, but my sister has an eye for it and takes amazing photos with any device that takes pictures, all without any post-processing.

Clean work, but remember to keep the composite weed-free.

Thanks, it’s finally getting green here too. Unfortunately, there is some weed with a few grass tufts.

You really have to know how to operate such a device. It’s not easy at all. Once you understand how aperture, shutter speed, and ISO interact, it gets great. I still haven’t fully got the hang of it. That’s why we haven’t taken the step to buy a really good camera yet. Using such a device in automatic mode is a waste. An iPhone can do better when it’s just about pointing and shooting.
Edit: The rule of thirds, perspective, and so on also make a huge difference.
