Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Yes, that can happen with sausage fingers on a smartphone...

It’s nice to have the choice.

I need the rotating round head to reach the so-called wisdom teeth at the back. If I couldn’t clean them properly, they’d probably have to be removed.
The toothpaste is strongly recommended by my dentist due to enamel issues.
So I stick with a few plastic brush heads per year, which are definitely worth it for me. In my personal environmental balance, they probably only account for a minor fraction (just like plastic straws, which I still own and use when I need them).

If you already have to justify using plastic toothbrushes nowadays, it’s getting pretty tiring, isn’t it? I’m afraid this eco-socialism is just starting to gain momentum.

Haha, yes, definitely. Although I have to say—and I’m not suggesting this is the case with rotating plastic heads 😉—many people like to make excuses: “Yes, you’re right, I’ll make an exception here, but otherwise (!) I act very environmentally friendly.” And when you look closely, it turns out that almost nothing is really given up. The long-distance trip is a must, otherwise you can’t relax or show off amazing, exotic vacation photos. The zero-waste store may be nearby, but then you still might need to go to the supermarket for certain items, which would be inconvenient. Cycling is fine, but only with an e-bike and only during leisure time, not for commuting. And it’s so much easier to get into an SUV than a regular car. The phone is already two years old, so a new one is absolutely necessary, and so on.
Not to mention house construction 😉

I don’t want to exempt myself here, but people really rarely give up anything. In my circle of acquaintances, maybe 2-3 households at most (depending on the definition). Future generations will have to deal with the consequences—which also makes not giving up today much more comfortable.

Alright, enough bashing for today. Sorry 😀

Exactly. You don’t have to justify it. No bashing from me.
