Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

In one of the photos, there are slots in the wall and two recesses, as if they are meant for religious images. What is that? Karsten

No, it’s not for St. Barbara.
One of the openings is likely meant for the electrical connection box, and the other for a distribution box, probably for the garage and possibly for the floor above.
Both will probably be accessible from the garage.

Check whether it is required that the electrical connection box must be accessible from the outside.

After the ceiling was packed with numerous ventilation ducts and a lot of electrical installations yesterday, the next (and most important) floor slab was poured today.

Slowly everything is taking shape, and because of the long planning phase, it all feels very familiar already.

Hello,

Yesterday, the carpenters came and built our roof. I’m really impressed by how quickly this can be done... the roof tiles are expected to arrive next week.

Best regards,
Sabine

We are now at invoices six and seven, each for ten percent. This means the electrical rough-in is complete, interior plastering is finished, windows and doors are installed, and the interior drywall is done.
What is still left are the exterior plaster, heating and solar rough-in inside, water supply is already done, screed, tiling, interior staircase and flooring, painting, final electrical and plumbing installation, landscaping, and the kitchen. Utility connections have already been confirmed. It should be completed by September 11. Karsten
