Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Oh, it looks good there.
The main thing is that it’s not in the line of sight... I can still raise the shelf a bit higher.

Next on the agenda are the guest cloakroom, bedroom sloped ceiling, and master bathroom.

How are you going to address the sloped ceiling in the bedroom?

Self-installed technical equipment for the cistern (level measurement, self-cleaning filter) and the domestic water system with potable water top-up for toilets using rainwater has been completed (pipe clamps and tidy pipe routing are still to be done):

Is the cistern used only for the toilets or also for garden irrigation?

there was something else, of course
In addition to two outdoor potable water faucets, two fixed outdoor rainwater faucets are also installed.

Optionally, a fixed underground garden irrigation system can be connected via the utility room (for future installation; core drilling already done), and it can also be used for a washing machine.

If additional water outlets are needed, a submersible pump can be added to the cistern and a water outlet installed in the garden. But that’s all still plans for the future.

@rick2018: regarding the fixed garden irrigation, I might have a few questions about your expertise in the more distant future, is that okay?

@dab_dab Yes, we have the Carat XXL with 76,000 liters (20,100 gallons). Originally, we planned for the 92,000 liters (24,300 gallons), but that would have conflicted with the terrain modeling as well as the backwash filter. We control the filter through the home automation system. The cistern is filled with rainwater and water from the well or spring.

Tell me more about the irrigation. The pipes are quite narrow, so large irrigation zones won’t be possible. However, that’s not necessary if the property isn’t large or overly complex. What type of cistern do you have? I believe your pump is rated for 3,600 liters per hour (950 gallons per hour) at 3.5 bar (51 psi). Or is that the larger model?
