Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

After May 2015:

@Climbee: You wouldn’t notice it on the mentioned toilet, except maybe for the two rotary controls on the sides.
Regarding control of the stream: you can continuously adjust the intensity and temperature, but the positioning has to be done by the user (wiggling your bottom). It’s probably the same with the hygienic bidet shower; you have to somehow position it under yourself as well.

@tumaa: Which "grooves" are you talking about?

Where the nozzle extends out......

Hi Climbee,
Could it be that you have the wrong thermostat installed in your shower bathroom? I have the same shower (Hansgrohe). From what I can see, you now have to press two buttons if you want water from the overhead shower.

Regarding your glass: definitely replace it. In our experience, safety glass on parapets, railings, etc., never looks like that.

No, that’s because we wanted the handheld shower on the right installed separately and alongside the rainforest shower, which hasn’t been mounted yet. So first you choose: overhead or side, and then I can select between three spray patterns for the overhead option.

Yes, exactly, that’s how it works. But now you have two valves for the top that you first need to open.
That’s not a problem if it doesn’t bother you. However, it’s actually not correct. The thermostat with two selector buttons (like yours) is designed for when you have a handheld shower and only one overhead showerhead.
If you have three spray types on top (rain, waterfall, and massage), then you have a three-way valve for those, and the thermostat has one for the handheld shower.

I hope you’re wrong – our installer even coordinated directly with the Hansgrohe representative.

I’ll check on it.

However, I’m starting to think you’re right... I’ve done some research. Apparently, he installed the wrong one, which was meant for the bathtub (where it can’t be used now because the wrong base unit was installed – but that’s another story).

Well – we have the one with the single outlet too; it just needs to be replaced. And the one he mistakenly used here, he’ll just have to take back… that’s his problem.
