Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

After May 2015:

I also think the sofa is really cool! The entire interior of the house is very tasteful and modern, you have to say! So I was all the more surprised when I saw the handles on the kitchen cabinets. I know handleless systems can sometimes be outrageously expensive, but compared to your sofa, you don’t replace the kitchen that quickly.

For the kitchen, the handles will probably serve a practical purpose. Push-to-open is the worst, especially combined with a handle rail. However, I would always choose handles again, unless the kitchen is only for show. For us, the handles were also part of the design.

The house is really very beautiful; I think it’s one of the nicest shown in the forum. Congratulations!

Climbee, you are really cool and have a very similar style to ours (same shower, lots of glass, gallery, lots of wood, etc.).
I think I have the same sofa in my hobby room in front of the projector. I’m not exactly sure about the manufacturer; I was lucky because our furniture store needed space and couldn’t get rid of this designer sofa, so it was a bargain for us. Otherwise, I probably wouldn’t have bought it.
I also still owe you the video. Unfortunately, I somehow forgot.

I have to say, though, that I find it much nicer without handles, and in the end, it wasn’t that much more expensive.

Kitchen countertop with black induction cooktop, spice containers on the left, utensil holder on the right.

It will definitely be more expensive. Since it has to be handleless, I have to stick with that, and just the motor for the refrigerator costs a small fortune. Additionally, the dishwasher with a servo door is only available in the most expensive line, and it goes on like that.

Handleless does not mean push-to-open or motorized.
For example, Nolte offers various systems where you grip into recessed handles.
