Who spends €15,000 on furniture???

We do – or at least close to that.

- New sofa €3,500
- New dining table €2,000
- 8 new dining chairs €3,200
- New box spring bed €1,500
and plenty of lamps, mirrors, etc.

I don’t find €15,000 that surprising now.
How much have you spent on new furniture?

What did you spend on new furniture?

Definitely not those amounts, although our furniture cannot be described as cheap, standard, or simple.

Dining table, date wood $500
Sofa Schillig $1,800
Designer swivel chairs $90 each

You have to look for good value for money.
For example, the chairs would have cost 300% more at a major furniture store...

Best regards in brief

For example, I ordered them from Kare Design, but through an outlet in Munich.

However, I don’t know where you can buy them.

Best regards, in short

It is difficult to define a "standard" for furniture because tastes and preferences vary greatly. Although I don’t have anything against Ikea, I personally don’t like their style at all. Design is something people are often willing to spend a lot of money on, even if it doesn’t necessarily offer any real quality advantage.

For example, we liked a living and dining set that would have cost a total of 30,000€ (about $32,000). However, we were not willing to spend that much, so we looked for something more affordable that suited our taste. How low you can go depends on your personal style, budget, and willingness to make compromises.

In my experience, large furniture stores also offer a range of products comparable to IKEA in terms of price and quality. In my honest opinion, IKEA is just a large furniture store as well.

I mainly wanted to find out where I can get comparable quality at 300% cheaper than at the "furniture store." An outlet (directly from the manufacturer) is a good idea.
