Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Unfortunately, the staircase has a somewhat 1980s terraced house vibe and doesn’t quite match the rest of the house.

But tastes are obviously very different.

I wonder how long it would take if a homeowner were to build exactly according to the user suggestions from this forum... is that even possible?!

No, really not. What use is the most beautiful kitchen if I can only take great photos of it, but every time I cook I end up having a little tantrum because I keep accidentally opening drawers.

Industrial design is very popular right now – it puts functionality front and center!

I believe good design always includes high functionality. If I have to sacrifice function for design, then I’m not interested.

That’s the point... anyone can sell a show kitchen, but offering a "practical" show kitchen, that’s the real art.

Try looking up Jan Kurtz. There is a model called Dina.

Or Thonet, or recently a cool one from Muuto (Relate Side)

@tumaa That’s not possible. There are too many opinions here for that.

What I find missing here and in the terrace showcase thread is politeness. These threads are explicitly not calls for criticism; rather, people are proudly showing what they have worked for, created, and saved up for. I was raised to like a photo I find appealing or to leave a “well done” comment. If I don’t like something, I remain silent. Are those “What is that, a disgusting 1980s terraced house staircase?” comments really necessary? Who are they supposed to help? What are they meant to achieve? Is this the desensitized generation that bullies each other with phone photos? Yes, of course I don’t like everything that is posted either. But I don’t live there, so it doesn’t have to please me.
