Hello everyone,
we are currently planning our kitchen.
We are looking for an optimal but also affordable corner solution for our kitchen layout. Maybe you can help me with your opinions to make a decision.
Solution options:
1. A carousel unit – concern: it might become unstable over time (also, my wife doesn’t really like this option)
2. A corner cabinet with fully swinging shelves – concern: it might become unstable over time
3. A corner solution where the entire corner pulls out – the most expensive option (according to the supplier, this cabinet alone costs 1,000 Euro)
4. A corner solution with just shelves – the cheapest option but waste of space and the rear area is hardly usable
Our preferred choice would be option 3 – however, the cost-benefit ratio doesn’t seem reasonable here.
I am leaning toward the cheapest option. I would hide pots or similar items in there, which are only rarely used (for example, a roasting pan for goose). However, it can also happen that items stored very far back are completely forgotten.
What do you think, and what are your “long-term” experiences with these solutions? Or do you have another approach?

I want 3, my wife voluntarily wants 4.
Most likely, it will end up being 1 and 4. That way, we will have space in the kitchen to store the wok, raclette, and other items.

Hello,
If you’re really leaning towards a corner solution, go with option 2 or 3; with option 4, you will probably regret it later. Well, option 1 is kind of neither here nor there. The carousel also takes up a lot of space inside the cabinet, and it doesn’t actually fill the corners. I completely avoided corner solutions myself… rather, I prefer large drawers and a proper pull-out pantry cabinet, as you usually get more storage that way than in a corner. I keep my pots directly under the cooktop because that’s where I need them—not tucked away in some corner.
Best regards

What we have standing in 2 corner units would never fit into the 2x30 cm (2x12 inches) gained by a blind corner cabinet. We are kitchen enthusiasts and definitely have about 8 different pots and even more bowls and casserole dishes, all of which fit there without needing to be stacked heavily.
Our clear favorite is definitely option 1, and if it’s a good kitchen, it will last.
