Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

The heating-up program has been running since yesterday. I will follow my neighbor’s approach. He kept 1-2 windows tilted open all day and also ventilated several times by fully opening the windows for short periods. Although you often read that windows should not be left tilted open, everyone here does it this way, and so far no one has had any cracks in the screed.

During the week, I can ensure at least 4 times a day of short-term ventilation, and even more on weekends. Hopefully, that will be sufficient. The drywall has already been screwed in so that it could be plastered.

That's exactly how you do it. Tilt and tap.

Tilt windows should generally be avoided, but in summer this is not so important.

The main thing is that the hatch to the attic is sealed (or the retractable ladder is already installed); if not, do it!

Otherwise, the roof structure will develop mold.

All wall work is scheduled to be completed this week, and priming will begin. After that, painting can start. Then, the three-layer boards we already painted will be installed on the ceiling in the attic, followed by the installation of the underfloor heating, and then the tiles and parquet flooring can be laid. Things are moving quickly now. Since we don’t have to wait for a screed drying time, everything is progressing smoothly.

I need to correct myself: they are already priming now, then the ceiling comes next, followed by the floor (underfloor heating next week, parquet the week after), and only then will the final painting be done... but overall, everything should be finished before the end of June.
Hooray!
