Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

We bought a dining table with a central pedestal for our new dining room. It can comfortably seat 10 people without anyone bumping their knees. The photo was taken when we moved in.

So, I visited the building site today. At least now there is something to see. We'll just wait until mid to late September [emoji4]

There is finally some progress on our site as well.
- Basement and slurry pit have been filled in
- Foundations (actually none, built directly on rock) of the old wall have been secured with concrete
- The new retaining wall was supposed to be poured this week, but it won’t happen since the crane is still at another construction site
- Excavated material has been removed
- The guide scaffolding is set up
- Sewer and related utilities are being installed
- Temporary construction power is available
- Crane setup area has been filled with mineral aggregate
- Insulation for the concrete slab has been delivered

The solid wood walls will arrive in week 39.

Paved terrace in front of a residential house, loose paving stones and construction on the right.

White towel radiator on a bathroom wall, cable hanging down, tiles visible.

Transition from light floor tiles to wooden floor, visible at the door area.

Outside, in front of a white house wall, three garbage bins with colored lids (blue, brown, gray).

We’re approaching the end. The final inspection, handover, and lock change are scheduled for next week. The garbage bins arrived today. Winnetou is getting his picture tile/vinyl transition. Then they completed the bathrooms except for the washbasin—I think it was forgotten to be ordered. The terrace is progressing as well. For those who like the paving: Diephaus via patio shell limestone imitation. (around 17.50 per square meter (sq ft))

I like your floor tile! Which one is it? We're looking for something like that for the whole house.
