Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Is the corner made on site or are these precast elements?

Question about your wall panels. Why are there stones placed on top?

They are precast elements.

@Wall panels: The stones are holding down the waterproofing membrane (which seals the gap between the L-shaped blocks). Someone thought ahead without being asked 🙂. If you zoom in on the neighbor’s area below, you can see them.

@Mauerscheiben: Because the blocks hold the waterproofing membrane (which seals the gap between the L-shaped blocks) in place. Someone actually thought ahead here without being asked . If you zoom in at the neighbor’s lower area, you can see them.

I had suspected that. So, they didn’t install adhesive waterproofing membranes but loose ones instead?

Our staircase was installed yesterday.
The workers were busy for quite a long time: from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

I have to get this off my chest because I was at the construction site earlier. My neighbor’s waterproof concrete basement was installed today. The gap between the basement walls was sealed all around with expanding foam. I thought I must be seeing things. Great waterproof basement.

As far as I know, those are just formwork panels. The watertightness comes from the concrete that will be poured in. The foam around it is just auxiliary. The foam only prevents the concrete from leaking out. My neighbor has the same setup.
