Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

This means that no "puddles" will form on this paving, and water will neither remain standing nor flow over it at certain slopes?

Phew... so far, we haven’t had any heavy rain, and no puddles either. That’s because it’s porous concrete, allowing water to seep through. On the other hand, after the last rain before we moved in, I suddenly noticed damp stones in the garage – apparently, moisture was drawn up from below.

Is it only counted as 50%?

(I am not allowed to have that much sealed surface area anymore)

As far as I know, each municipality can decide for itself how to assess these matters. In our case, it is 50, but I need to double-check. We didn’t realize it was an eco-paving stone when we chose it.
It might also be cheaper to keep the existing paving and install a drain that soaks away the water if there is enough space on the property.

That's how it is; there is no general regulation, as this is usually decided by the local municipalities. Often, such rules are set out in zoning plans. For example, in our area, permeable paving or eco-pavers are required for pathways, driveways, and parking spaces. However, there is still no "reduction" in the floor area ratio.

Not for the floor area ratio, but I would raise my hand when it comes to stormwater fees.
