Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Multi-story house in shell construction with scaffolding and construction equipment on site

Tomorrow morning, the cables will be installed in the attic ceiling. On Monday, concreting will take place...

Considering that the foundation for the L-shaped blocks was only poured on October 16th, I am really satisfied with the construction progress.

So, I was busy with other things last week, so I wasn’t very active here.

The reason:

Bride and groom with bridal bouquet on a construction site, shell construction and scaffolding in the background

(Of course, we had to take a photo on site )

But otherwise, a lot has happened:
The technical room is starting to get full; the system for heating (solar, photovoltaic, etc.) is almost complete. The descaling system and the large electrical cabinet, as well as the ventilation system, are still missing. However, I don’t have a picture of those.

Then we got a roof; only the counter battens are missing, and then finally the roof tiles will be installed:

The carport is also almost finished (except for the cladding and, of course, the paving):

When the sun shines as nicely as it has the last few days, you can almost get a sense of space in the living room (and behind the tarp, it’s already nice and cozy warm):

Interior construction site with wooden frame structure, ongoing work, and workspace

The double casement window in the bathroom already has its frame:

From the outside, it’s really starting to look like a house:

Now we’re just looking forward to the roof being fully finished. It’s already sealed, but the counter battens and the tiles are still missing.
Inside, the electrician is already hard at work. Hopefully, the interior walls will go up soon, then we will do another walk-through with our lighting designer to finalize the last lamps and lighting.
By the end of November/beginning of December, the windows should also be installed, and then there will be a topping-out celebration.

Now we’re just looking forward to the roof actually being finished. It’s already watertight, but the counter-battening and the tiles are still missing.

By the end of November/beginning of December, the windows should be installed, and then we will celebrate the roof raising ceremony first.

Congratulations!

With wedding cake
Doesn't the groom get impatient if the threshold for carrying the bride over is not finished yet?

The bride wouldn’t want to put the groom through that, even with the nicest threshold.

Thank you for the congratulations!
