Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

How tall is the glass area of the patio door? 3000 EUR is quite expensive..

According to the drawing, the dimensions are 2595x2435 millimeters (102x96 inches).

I can’t really say how the extra cost breaks down since the issue was closed before it even started. In the end, as mentioned, everything is fine now.

I only mean the glass area.

I would need to measure exactly, but estimating from the total dimensions, it’s about 2 units at approximately 1.20 x 2.20 m (4 x 7 ft) each – so nothing huge.

Maybe it’s also due to the angled photo perspective?

But this is already a different spot (?), isn’t it?

Since the roof is scheduled for December 3rd, the masons have to work hard. The walls on the ground floor are almost finished.

So, this afternoon they had made quite a bit of progress.

I took another look at the mortar joints.
They really aren’t completely uniform in thickness.
But I like it that way.
At the neighbor’s house it’s similar, even though different bricklayers worked there...
