ᐅ Brick slips or thin brick veneers?

Hello, we hope to solve the following issue with your help.

We have been puzzling for a long time over the design of the house facade. The original plan was a simple white plaster facade, and now the roof is in place and the windows are already ordered. However, plain plaster has become too boring for us, so we are now considering a mixed facade.

Since we didn’t initially plan for brickwork, this is now a problem. The bricks have no support or bearing surface.

We either add a support structure for the bricks afterwards or use brick slips (thin brick veneers) instead.

The mixed facade is intended to cover three corners and the entrance area. I have attached a similar example.

What would you do? Would you recommend brick slips, or would you go to the effort of creating a support for the brickwork?

How does the different wall structure with bricks affect the build? Should we expect a large offset, or how can this be resolved visually?

We had reviewed the development plan. I also know that clinker bricks, mixed facades, or whatever is allowed.
What I meant was that I haven’t dealt with the building permit / planning permission myself; the architect has handled that. Since I’m not familiar with laws and regulations—sorry, this is my first time building—it’s just too much to know everything.
Because we discussed everything with the architect beforehand, he has already submitted all the necessary documents properly.
As for the façade, I can’t say, since I don’t know the details.

The question was more about how we implement it, as we definitely want to go with clinker bricks or brick slips now.
Which system is recommended for attaching clinker bricks as a veneer?

That’s already something and allows you to follow your current preferences.

Your architect should be able to provide an answer for this question.

He certainly knows what is theoretically possible. However, when it comes to what has already proven to work well for others or what is established on the market, perhaps others have more practical knowledge—those I have tried to reach here in the forum.

After all, that is what a forum is for, isn’t it?

Does your architect know about your project?
The approach you want to take, as mentioned before, is quite uncommon...

Yes, it was briefly discussed with him. He wanted to solve the problem with facing bricks.
We are simply not convinced by facing bricks, but as I already mentioned.

Certainly, it is not normal, but rather than being annoyed about it for life, we now want to take action.
For cost reasons, we decided against a fully brick-faced house. We also did not like the appearance until we came across mixed facades.

A bit late... Your ideas on the facade design...

Either we add a layer for brick slips afterwards or use them instead.

I have already written about brick slips in another thread.

Counter question: did you make full use of the building permit/planning permission window?
