Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

After May 2015:

Are we roughly on the same level?

The first photo was taken on Wednesday, the last two yesterday.
On Wednesday, the exterior walls of the ground floor were completed, and yesterday the load-bearing interior walls were finished, as well as the non-load-bearing interior walls built up to half their height. The non-load-bearing walls will be reinforced and then poured with concrete before being fully built up.

Hello,
just a quick photo from last night. I have no idea what’s going on. The site manager had actually said that not much would happen this week because the roofer had a scheduling conflict. But apparently, the roofer didn’t know about that and went ahead with the roof installation...
And now the water supply and drainage pipes as well as the window frames are already in place... *amazed*

Construction is progressing so fast right now that my building inspector can’t keep up with his visits anymore!

But I better not complain!

Best regards,

Andreas

Once construction starts, the exterior shell of the building usually goes up quite quickly.
However, the interior work tends to take much longer, making you wonder what they have been doing all day.

Even though we have been finished for a few days now, yesterday we managed to take a great snapshot with our house almost in the center.

Looks a bit like bomb damage.
