Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

We have now also made progress with the landscaping:

Garden area with terraced stone wall, gravel surface, and wooden bench in the courtyard

Outdoor area with stone wall, steps, and gravel surface in the garden

Building site with construction equipment next to the house and trees

Outdoor area of a building site with stone wall, earthworks, and garden area

Construction site with earthworks, shell structure, and scaffolding at a new house in a residential area

On the upper level by the long new wall, we will create a planting bed, and at the back edge, we will plant shrubs (raspberries, etc.).

Can we move the discussions elsewhere? I’m happy to repeat myself: Less text, more pictures!

I would also support cleaning up the thread a bit and moving the discussions out.
I might even think it would be good if the thread were moderated. After all, this is about pictures.

Hi everyone,
there have been some updates on our project. Last Thursday we had the topping-out ceremony, and on Monday/Tuesday the roof will be installed!

Best regards,

Andreas

I’m responding to the request for more pictures.

After a period of little progress (backfilling delayed by weather and issues with settling insulation during backfilling), work is now moving forward again.

On Monday midday, the bricks were delivered, preparations for masonry were made, and the first row was laid. Yesterday, the masonry work shown in the two pictures was carried out. Visually, this is by far the biggest step so far.
