Usually, this happened because the subcontractor reported their work as completed even though it wasn’t. If you pay under these circumstances, the subcontractor moves on to the next site instead of continuing their work immediately. If you don’t pay, the customer service representative from Heinz von Heiden would push the craftsman to proceed. The completion report, not the approval by a construction supervisor, was the deciding factor. However, the customer service representative would also strongly reprimand me if I withheld any payment.

Did you just pay anyway? Or did you wait?
If I wait until the work is completed (in 1.5 weeks), wouldn't I be in default on payment? (?) I shouted at the site manager asking what had gone wrong; he then contacted me immediately by phone and said we would receive a corrected construction progress report next week.
Payment will only be made once the items invoiced are actually completed. Of course, no money is paid beforehand.
It is important that everything is always documented in writing, including the notification that something is wrong.

We're finally getting started. Just a few hours after I took this picture, we already had the invoice for the second installment in the mailbox. They’re quick with the billing. As long as the work gets done too! We're jealous.
It’s really amazing how quickly things sometimes get done.
Last weekend, the interior plastering:

Then, at the beginning of the week, the underfloor heating installation:

Then midweek, the soil drilling:

And now on Saturday, the screed is being poured. So only photos from the front door or through the window, since the screed can’t be walked on yet.

And since I liked the cable mess some forum members showed recently, here’s ours:
(unfortunately, the photos don’t capture how many cables actually come into the technical room...)

Unfortunately, you can’t include more than 10 images in one post.
However, I really want to share an overall view of the house that I took today.
The color is definitely polarizing, but I encourage everyone to be bold with color and move away from just “white/anthracite.” It’s worth it. We are so happy we chose colors that we initially thought of as quite “modest.”
We love it.
