Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

The concrete slab has now been poured. This finally allows me to get a real sense of the house’s dimensions. Tomorrow, the first basement walls will go up, and it looks like we’re lucky with the weather. Daytime temperatures should stay around 5°C (41°F) until Christmas, which means completing the entire basement this year still seems achievable.

The materials for processing are on hand, and we definitely won’t get bored.

Be careful with the primer; it sticks like crazy and, combined with construction debris flakes and dust, creates square meters of a grainy 40-grit “floor covering.”
Always use a fleece underneath, and if you apply it by spraying, it’s best to cover the windows completely with tape.

Ah, okay, good to know. Of course, we want to lay the floors only after all the walls are finished, but having to skim over more than 120 sqm (1300 sq ft) again to scrape off such residues is something we’d like to avoid.

Today’s view from our bathroom window:

And no one can look in the other way around.

I just received fresh photos because the last part of the scaffolding was removed this morning. I believe we have chosen the right house.
