Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Whether others find it incredible or not, I don't really care... it's my house, and I don't like everything about others either

Not really?

I wish I didn’t have electric shutters either. Actually, I wish I didn’t have any shutters at all. I’m just saying: man = electrician + administrator.

Criticism is fine, but it needs to be justified and possible alternatives should be suggested.........through the criticism, I found the right floor plan for myself, even though that is the architect’s task, but sometimes you reach a dead end and have to find your own solutions, thanks for that!!!

Some people here have also stepped back a bit, like @11ant....... meant in a positive way!!

Anyone can do as they please, but nowadays no one commutes to work by horse-drawn carriage if they can take a car or bus instead. I never mentioned anything about it being substandard; you assumed that. However, there are things that make me wonder about the intention behind choosing to go through such effort...

why would anyone put themselves through that...

What exactly do you mean by putting yourself through it in this case? Are you referring to the appearance or the functionality? In terms of appearance, as I said, I don’t find it bad, and I didn’t want electric roller shutters because I find it annoying that they move up and down so slowly. I’m simply much faster doing it by hand.

"To each their own" and "It's not what you say, but how you say it" are two good proverbs that everyone should keep in mind a little when typing here.

I’m relatively new here, but sometimes I find it quite blunt (and even somewhat arrogant at times) how photos or texts from other homebuilders are dismissed. Ideally, constructive criticism should follow, not an attitude of "what kind of crap are you building there."

That's how it is; some people just can't think beyond their own experience. Manual belt rollers work great—better and faster than electric ones. However, for aesthetic reasons, I wouldn’t install them in a new build anymore.

We have shutters in our new build and have already been looked at oddly by some people (they don’t like roller shutters, as they have them in their office).
