Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Since we are planning to build soon, I’ve been looking for a good deal on an extra-large floor steam cleaner (steam only). It should work for you too, @Mellina.

But for me, it will probably be another 1–2 years before I can use it in the new house.

The windows and front door are installed. I have a key.
Only 4 roof tiles are still missing.

Construction site of a red brick building, open glass door, left window, scaffolding and debris.

Only 4 roof tiles left to go.

The entrance door already installed? That would give me construction headaches, in the end, it wasn’t one of the tradesmen.

Yes, I thought they would install a construction door first, but no...

Does anyone know if it’s easy to fix a terrace door leaf that opens the wrong way? Instead of right leaf first, then left, it was installed left first, then right.

We didn’t have a construction door either, but everything was packed and only the lock was exposed. We didn’t have any damage.

By the way, today was the key handover, and I had to work... So, we’re now in the final stretch. We still need to install the floors, hang wallpaper, paint, and assemble the kitchen (which will be delivered on the 11th). My partner has all of December off, and I start my vacation on the 13th. Of course, we hope to move into the new house before Christmas. We’ll see if it works out.

The materials for the work are on site, so we certainly won’t be bored.
