😀 that’s a woman thing. The items at the bottom of the stairs need to go upstairs, and the ones upstairs need to go downstairs. I love my wife and trust that her actions are good and right. Things that need to go upstairs are upstairs. Things that need to go downstairs are downstairs. Stuff on the stairs apparently belongs there. When I’m told to move things somewhere, I do it (unless I have something better to do, forget, or…).
It’s actually quite simple: men tend to think explicitly rather than implicitly.
Men are like Americans in that way. They pay more attention to a sign that says “DON’T WALK” than to a red pedestrian light. They walk on a “sidewalk” rather than a “pavement,” because otherwise they’d probably be in the middle of the street, and they say “horseback riding” so they know where to sit on the horse…

Sometimes that might actually be the case, but in most instances, it’s not. That’s why I prefer clear instructions to put this or that in a specific place.
For example, today I found a small box right in front of the garage door. I moved it back to the spot where it had been for several days. A short time later... the box was back in front of the door! I hadn’t put it back in “its” place. Only then did my wife come up to me, a little out of breath, and gave me insight into her thoughts—that the box urgently and immediately needed to be moved somewhere else, preferably to the trash.
Why not say so from the start?!
And... right now I’m sensing strong “vibes” in the air that I absolutely must set the table for dinner right away... 🙄

No, it's just the standard energy-saving mode. You can always do it differently, but it’s not necessary. It only becomes an issue with permanent "airplane mode" ... 😀P
