KrisjaHello, I have a Besta shelf unit, 120 cm (47 inches) wide, 64 cm (25 inches) high, 40 cm (16 inches) deep.
On the right side, there will be a door, and on the left side, as it is set up in the store, a 38 cm (15 inches) door at the bottom and a full-extension Inreda drawer above it - that is the plan so far.
In practice, I am struggling and need your help. I have tried the following options:
Drawer slide in the 4th hole from the top: Result – the drawer hits the top edge and does not fit into the opening.
Drawer slide in the 5th hole from the top: Result – the drawer fits in, but the door below it (hinges in the lowest two holes, top accordingly) overlaps the top of the drawer front by one centimeter (0.4 inches).
New plan: drawer below, door above it. Hinge placed in the very bottom hole – the drawer rubs along the floor. Hinge placed in the second hole – the drawer overlaps the door above it by 1 cm (0.4 inches).
I am really getting frustrated and have no idea how this can work now.
Please, can someone help me??

IKEA-Experte6 Jan 2013 18:36It sounds like the drawer front might be installed incorrectly. Try placing the cam dowels in the other two holes in the front panel. This will adjust the height of the front by 32mm (1.25 inches) up or down, depending on how the front is currently mounted.
Hello IKEA expert, thank you very much for your reply – I will try that tomorrow. You’re right, there were two options on the drawing depending on the construction method, and I hadn’t thought about that anymore. I thought I had chosen the correct one, but I haven’t tested it to see if I might actually be wrong. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
It's me again. After repositioning the eccentric screws, I tried to install the drawer both at the top and bottom... as I said... I tried. But it was the same problem as yesterday: either the top overhung or it didn’t fit at the bottom. It was driving me crazy—I was already packing everything up to go to IKEA tomorrow and exchange it.
As I was sitting there thoughtfully looking at it, I realized that there is no true top or bottom to the front panel when you look at it from the front... could that be it? That I have to rotate the front panel 180 degrees, bottom to top, top to bottom???
I grabbed the screwdriver again, reassembled everything, and BINGO! That was my mistake.
From the drawing, it wasn’t clear to me that those two ventilation slots, or whatever they are, running across the entire width of the front panel, have to be at the bottom. I had installed them at the top.
And now everything fits as it should .
Thanks to your suggestion, I finally figured it out, IKEA expert.

IKEA-Experte8 Jan 2013 09:59Glad it still worked out. The "ventilation slots" are used in the inexpensive drawer. The thin bottom panel is inserted there and thus stabilized.
