we want to get the Metod kitchen and plan and assemble it ourselves. We will buy everything in two weeks in France.
Now to the specific question: The base cabinets with feet are about 88cm (35 inches) high, but most dishwashers are only 81.5cm (32 inches) tall. Even IKEA France only offers this size. If I buy a dishwasher that is 81.5cm (32 inches) high, that means I would have to attach feet to it, and the front panel would be installed lower than intended.
We want to buy a dishwasher with timerLight technology, which projects the remaining time onto the floor below the dishwasher. This wouldn’t work anymore if the front panel is mounted lower than planned, right?
Am I missing something here?
Regards,
Daniel

There are also models from Ikea, Skinande, and Enastände that have this LED, but it does not display the runtime in hours and minutes—only red for running and green for "finished."

IKEA-Experte13 Apr 2014 15:3280 cm (31 inches) front panel, 8 cm (3 inches) plinth.
If only a red or green dot is projected straight downwards, the height of the front panel does not matter.
You will need to check with Siemens whether the time display can still be projected onto the floor. By default, the models with a height of 86.5 cm (34 inches) only fit front panels up to 77.5 cm (30 inches) in height. So you will likely need to use the Behjälplig (currently apparently unavailable) or whatever that thing is called. This adds extra distance between the front panel and the projector. Probably only the manufacturer can give you precise information if you provide them with all the details.
If you haven’t already, read through the thread “Dishwasher Front Panels.”

placebo7613 Apr 2014 16:18Ah thanks, I read through that. The fact is that the dimensions of the IKEA dishwashers are the same as those from Siemens. So I find it strange that 80cm (31.5 inches) fronts fit with IKEA but not with Siemens...
