Hello, I have a Besta shelf unit, 120 cm (47 inches) wide, 64 cm (25 inches) high, 40 cm (16 inches) deep.
On the right side, there will be a door, and on the left side, as it is set up in the store, a 38 cm (15 inches) door at the bottom and a full-extension Inreda drawer above it - that is the plan so far.

In practice, I am struggling and need your help. I have tried the following options:
Drawer slide in the 4th hole from the top: Result – the drawer hits the top edge and does not fit into the opening.
Drawer slide in the 5th hole from the top: Result – the drawer fits in, but the door below it (hinges in the lowest two holes, top accordingly) overlaps the top of the drawer front by one centimeter (0.4 inches).

New plan: drawer below, door above it. Hinge placed in the very bottom hole – the drawer rubs along the floor. Hinge placed in the second hole – the drawer overlaps the door above it by 1 cm (0.4 inches).

I am really getting frustrated and have no idea how this can work now.
Please, can someone help me??

Ikea expert, regarding the cheap drawer? Hmm, I didn’t have to insert anything there, and the bottom is about 1 cm (0.4 inches) thick.
Oh, now I understand—the front can also be used for the drawer with the thin bottom, not just for the full extension, of course.
Thanks for the explanation.
And Maverick, sometimes it’s not so easy to find the problem here. I also searched for Inreda in the search function but didn’t really find anything.
However… on page 3, someone mentions in passing that the front had to be rotated, but the problem was actually something completely different, which I only noticed now.
But I think it’s important to give feedback—first as a thank you to the person who gave advice and second for everyone else who might end up in the same situation as I did.

But I think it’s important to provide feedback – firstly to thank the person who gave the advice, and secondly for everyone else who might be in the same situation as I am at some point

Isn’t that exactly the purpose of a forum....

So, all good....

Hello everyone,

I’m currently sitting in front of my Besta shelving unit and starting to get really frustrated....

It’s actually closer to just 1/2 cm (1/5 inch). But I’ve already taken out everything possible at the screw as well...

Hello.

Did you perhaps install the old full-extension drawer slides into a new cabinet carcass?
That would explain the 5mm (0.2 inch) offset.
I deliberately did this myself, but only with one drawer 26cm (10 inches) in a 38cm (15 inches) cabinet carcass.

I have also written about this somewhere in the forum before.
