Hello everyone,
I am looking for an oven and steam cooker with a completely black front. So far, I have only found models from Miele.
Does anyone know of any other alternatives? Siemens and Neff still have a silver strip or similar.

WAKE UP!
Yes, yes, thread necromancy.
So, those who have been following my posts a bit already know that my wife is quite particular about the look of the layout and orientation.
She also absolutely wants a completely black oven.
Are there any new insights after four years? I found a very expensive model from Samsung and a more affordable one from Amica.
@ypg, do you happen to know which brand was featured in your focus group?
Furthermore: What absolute special features should an oven (or oven combination unit) have nowadays in a modern kitchen? I have no space and probably no use for extra appliances, so if anything, it has to be integrated...
Oh, and which of the many (self-)cleaning functions (pyrolytic, hydrolytic, catalytic) have truly proven themselves in everyday use?
Thanks and best regards
Tolentino

Brrr @Tolentino body snatcher 🙂
We now have a glulam unit with a completely black front. It wasn’t specifically chosen for that, it was simply the device whose features suited us best.
It does what it’s supposed to and looks good. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

You have these options: oven only, oven with integrated microwave, oven with microwave and steam burst,
or oven with steam cooking function.
I find the last two options interesting in terms of features, but it really depends on what you need and how you cook/bake. I have the oven with microwave and steam burst from Siemens. You can also reheat food with steam, which I like to use, while my husband prefers the microwave for that. I also really appreciate the steam addition when baking or roasting. Thanks to the pyrolytic cleaning, the oven still looks like new.
Sometimes, however, I wish it also had an extra steam cooking function, which my previous appliance had.

It wasn’t just about one feature, but the complete package.
In other words: steam cooking, pyrolytic cleaning, 5 levels, baking sensor, soft close, Home Connect, meat thermometer... plus several other small comfort features.
Sure, none of these are essential, and a standard oven would have sufficed, but in our case this oven covers several needs at once. The all-black front wasn’t exactly what we wanted, but we don’t dislike it either.
