Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Was that really a system solution? There are no cover trims or excessive gaps visible at the wall or ceiling. It seems more like a custom-made solution to me.

The ceiling is dropped, so you can plan quite precisely according to the cabinet dimensions.
I also believe it was Metod...

Hello,
this looks really nice, but I want to point out a small detail.

If you want to replicate something like this, you should make sure you’re not creating a trap for yourself. I assume the elements inside the yellow circle are drawers. If that’s the case, when they are open, they block the door and no one can get in. I don’t know the rest of the floor plan, and there seems to be another door on the left, but if the door facing you is the only entrance, this could become a real problem...

Some not uncommon scenarios are:
  • You could get dizzy, suffer a back spasm, or any other issue while taking socks out of the drawer, leaving you mostly immobile on the floor with no way for anyone to enter.
  • A small child could be playing here, opening the drawers (our kids did that even before they could walk) and then not understand why mom can’t just come in.

White interior with built-in cupboards and lower drawers; door on the right side.

But as I said, it looks great!

Best regards,

Andreas

Something like this:

True enough. The door on the right in the picture probably swings into the walking path as well.

The connections between floor and wall are also not perfectly executed.

We have a dishwasher like that too, but it only runs the Eco cycle. Whenever it finished at night or when we were away, the alarm system would always go off. It took me a while to figure out this was the reason 🤨
