We also find it a bit too cool, but the purple wouldn’t be my choice either. Our style will be more Mediterranean – combined with DB 703, it can still work well and softens the coolness a bit.

I still prefer Smokey Eyes over the carmine red bay windows, or the common confusion between Tuscany and Toast Hawaii, which to me belong in the same / yellow bin as the Hornbach style. With Eldeas’ house, only the tonal contrast of the plinth feels too strong, and the way it bends around the corner isn’t really my taste either. And I have to agree: it is almost becoming a “value in itself” to have the only non-white house on the street. Delivery drivers will be happy about that.

The plinth turned out a bit too blue for our taste as well. But we can live with it since we know it’s not permanent. We had planned to apply a colored stone plaster plinth eventually anyway.

Our garage is at least 30cm (12 inches) higher than the house, so two or three steps will be added on the right side. This is why the plinth is higher on the right.

We also have new pictures, and we are slowly approaching the move-in date.
