Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

We also find it a bit too cool, but the purple wouldn’t be my choice either. Our style will be more Mediterranean – combined with DB 703, it can still work well and softens the coolness a bit.

Whether windows or the “masks” painted on the facade,

I still prefer Smokey Eyes over the carmine red bay windows, or the common confusion between Tuscany and Toast Hawaii, which to me belong in the same / yellow bin as the Hornbach style. You have to be somewhat grateful to certain aesthetic dyslexics when they at least omit the glazing bars on the anthracite-colored windows. With Eldeas’ house, only the tonal contrast of the plinth feels too strong, and the way it bends around the corner isn’t really my taste either. And I have to agree: it is almost becoming a “value in itself” to have the only non-white house on the street. Delivery drivers will be happy about that.

The plinth turned out a bit too blue for our taste as well. But we can live with it since we know it’s not permanent. We had planned to apply a colored stone plaster plinth eventually anyway.

Our garage is at least 30cm (12 inches) higher than the house, so two or three steps will be added on the right side. This is why the plinth is higher on the right.
