Hello, we are currently building an urban villa with an 11m (36 feet) wide front.
As usual, there are 5 windows, of which 4 measure 1.26 x 1.45m (4.1 x 4.8 feet) (W/H).
My question is whether the windows are too wide. They look quite square, and we did not receive very good drawings.
Does anyone have experience with similarly wide windows?
I would appreciate photos and suggestions. I have attached a photo.
Due to COVID-19, we cannot visit anywhere to take a look.
Perhaps someone has a similar urban villa.

Thank you very much

I would tend to plan from the inside out.
What is inside? And which direction does this view face?

Use a rough opening width of 110cm (43 inches) for all windows. The advantage is that you can then buy ready-made pleated blinds that are 0.85m (33 inches) wide at stores like Ikea or similar, which will fit perfectly.

What does "we are currently building" mean?
Is the shell of the building already up, or is it just the planning stage?
Maybe provide a bit more information if possible, including floor plans, etc.

What would be wrong with that? For a somewhat modern townhouse, “square” or something similar fits perfectly. If you prefer a more country-style look, you might divide the window into two parts to visually elongate the facade. What you want or like, we don’t know. I assume the width is determined by the floor plan? If so, leave them as they are and don’t worry unnecessarily. Later, shrubs and trees will be planted in the front yard, which will create harmony with the facade (if you want that 😉) and help emphasize or soften it.

Here is an example of our north side. The windows measure 126 x 168.5 cm (50 x 66 inches), with a total width of the main house (excluding the eastern extension) of 11.24 m (37 feet).

Happy Easter!
