Because the electrical plan did not originally specify that this would become a laundry room. Initially, only the washing machine was planned, so the socket height was acceptable. Now it is solved with a desk grommet cover, which I prefer over having to recess a surface-mounted box in the end.

Actually, it’s pretty convenient to be able to disconnect the power without having to balance the machine first. I can’t remember ever having disconnected my washing machine from the power supply.

We’ve now tested 5 samples. Interestingly, the one we had first and thought was terrible is now the one we like the most. We actually really like it.
The difficult part with these materials is that they can look very different depending on the lighting and location.

Big difference in the first picture. Exactly the same in the second.
By the way, we are leaning toward the larger sample.
