Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

After May 2015:

The staircase is now installed indoors as of today... and I also tested an LED Hue strip.

I think the vertical LED strip turned out quite well.

Wooden staircase with metal railing on construction site, blue protective covering on handrail, film on steps.

Curved wooden staircase under construction, railing on the right, exposed cable on the left, vertical LED light strip.

Wooden staircase by the window, vertical warm LED light strip on the wall.

Unfinished interior: wooden staircase with railing, covered steps, shell construction.

May I ask how much you paid for the staircase, @Andre77?

Once with and once without metal balusters.

@annab377

The standard included staircase comes without metal balusters.

With metal balusters, final finish, and a straight newel post, the price directly from the staircase builder is 650€ gross. (main contractor construction)

Did you forget a zero? Or is 650€ an additional charge on top of the standard?
We have a bolt-supported design. I don’t know the price, but the extra cost for stainless steel bolts was over 300€. Widening to 95cm (37 inches) added another 500€.

@Andre77 What is the width of this staircase?
