A general question about built-in window seats: I find them very attractive visually, but how are they actually used in everyday life? Do you just sit there and look out at the garden? For reading a book, I would miss having a backrest. Just asking out of curiosity.

Here is an example from our house (with a backrest).

hausnrplus259 Jun 2020 10:43We really like the idea of a window seat. However, the windows then always have a custom size in terms of dimensions and sill height. We find that too inflexible ♀️ We are currently looking for ideas and solutions for alternatives on a window or patio door with standard dimensions.
