Hello,
my first post.
In our house, we only have this option to arrange our kitchen, dining area, and living room. Does anyone have ideas on how we can divide the space? The kitchen will be completely redesigned.

Best regards, Stefan

What is on the other side of the stairs? The toilet and something else?

I also find this floor plan very difficult to design. How many people will live in the house? How many people usually gather for parties? How big is your sofa?

Tricky... I gave it a try. The kitchen window would then need to have a sill height of 1m (3.3 ft).
I assume this is a semi-detached house?

I prefer BeHaElJas idea. I would only arrange the living room differently. Maybe extend the small section of the wall further into the room, possibly only half-height, and place the sofa there.

The kitchen could also consist of a single wall unit and a peninsula, which would allow for a patio door in between.

And I think it would make sense to share the entire floor plan, including the upper floor.

Why is this room designed so rigidly?

Let's ask it this way: what do you not like about the proposed layout?

Hi -- I don’t like that I have a direct view of the kitchen – but I have been going over the plans again during the night. I think I have found an ideal solution. I can adjust the walls, meaning I can make the wall by the stairs shorter or longer, or also make the utility room smaller.
