Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

I haven’t seen that before, with the baseboards.

Good. When the screed and plaster are applied, a lot of water goes into the house. Quickly remove the plastic sheets in front of the windows to allow good airflow. Not on the first day, but after two or three days. Karsten

Baseboards flush with the plaster

Great idea, we did the same. That way, you don’t have to vacuum along the edge anymore.

@Knallkörper

This is the reason.

How did it work for you?
As a layperson, I imagine it would be easier to apply the plaster after the baseboards are installed. Or is there a wooden strip used as a placeholder for the baseboard during plastering?

If you have some lead time, could you please share a photo of how that looks?

The plasterer leaves a gap at the bottom equal to the height of the baseboard plus a little extra. Then the baseboard is installed. After that, the plasterer returns to complete the plastering. That’s how I know it from a construction project of a friend. Unfortunately, I don’t have a photo of it.

He has finished the access path to the front door. Suitable for walkers.[emoji3] You never know. And the driveway is slightly sloped; when you get older, driving becomes more difficult, so you need more space.
