Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

The painter? The brickwork should probably be acid cleaned instead, right?

Nice little house, Mr. Buhr

It looks quite tight over there with you

According to Röben, this should not be treated with acid. I’m also curious how it will be cleaned... but probably not until March or April. Our general contractor plans to start grouting then.

Yes, we have a relatively narrow lot—just under 19m (62 feet) wide. However, it is 40m (131 feet) long, nicely divided between the house and the garden.

Unfortunately, before construction started, we couldn’t get in touch with our neighbors on the left side. Otherwise, we could have discussed how they plan to position their garage. So now, unfortunately, we only have the legally required 3m (10 feet) setback on that side.

Final stretch before the Christmas break, underfloor heating is being installed and windows are in everywhere except in the attic floor, where the panes are still missing...

Interior view of a construction site: shell construction, cables and pipes on the floor, staircase.

Be careful, your underfloor heating loops are laid out poorly and are far too few for the room size.

Our scaffolding was finally taken down yesterday!

The painter still needs to work on the window at the front left...

Great!!!
A dream come true!

I’d love to exchange ideas with you; we’re planning something similar and would appreciate any tips and tricks.

You need a much larger active surface area... walls, ceiling.
The installation was really done professionally though^^
