Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Then the rest without stairs becomes basically boring

I have to put it simply: The skylight in the bathroom is just awesome. The sun even shines on your head when you’re on the toilet.

Hey, I have the skylight right above the toilet!
At first, it was just a practical solution — we needed headroom, and the sloping roof made that tight — but now we just think it’s brilliant.
When I’m lying in the bathtub, I can even look up at the stars.

Today, our connections were completed — we’ve had water since last week, and now we also have electricity and phone!
Yeah!

There are only two building projects that really impress me here. Yours and the one that seemed to have around 200 square meters (2,150 square feet) per floor plus an underground garage. It would be interesting to see how that one is progressing now.

Our project is moving forward as well. We now have drywall installed in the house (shame on me), so the ventilation ducts and the floor slab are now covered. The ceilings are being actively prepped for wallpaper. Painting is planned for next week, then the pull-down staircase to the upper floor ceiling will be installed, along with the electrical panel, outlets, and switches. The floor screed heating program should also be finished by the weekend. The tiler is supposed to start on the bathroom walls shortly after. Things are progressing.

I’m especially looking forward to the fireplace. It won’t be installed until the painting work is done in about two weeks. We provided the painters with a Wanders24 paint in a gray-silver shimmer finish for the fireplace column.

The lighting for the kitchen area and island has already been purchased as well.

I’d really like to see the color used on the fireplace, please.

Haha, me too. The photos from the manufacturer are so uninformative. They say it’s wipeable. Not a bad idea for a fireplace.

They even have unicorn spit as a paint color.

So if any of you have a little girl, this will definitely make her happy with the wall paint for the nursery.

Dear friends of homebuilding,

here is a small update: The base plaster has been applied. We are excited!

Best regards

Axel

Do you already have plants placed inside the building?
