Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

First picture, the yellow cable is LAN, right?
Isn't it supposed to be inside a conduit?

I don’t know.

I haven’t seen any conduits there anywhere.

Is it allowed to lay the cables this way? I thought they should only be installed vertically or horizontally, at 90-degree angles and straight.

According to the DIN standard, as far as I know, it is not allowed. The electrician says that electricity doesn’t care how it flows.

At the moment, everything seems to be all over the place there, and the expert doesn’t seem to be much help either. See my thread about this in the floor plan planning section. :-(

I had read that ours is unfortunately too far away for you.

Of course, the electricity doesn't care, but who wants to find randomly laid cables hidden inside the walls? There is also a safety aspect to consider.

Why is everything under your roof made of stainless steel instead of wood?
