Am I correct in seeing that you have different tiles everywhere?
It looks nice overall, and since it’s in the basement, but for me, it would take a lot for me to install those butcher-block style tiles from the 1990s, which show every speck of dust and make the floor look really unkempt, in one room.
Why didn’t you continue using the other tiles there? Is the price difference so large that the disadvantage mentioned above is worth it?
The storage room also has different tiles... that’s on the ground floor, right?

The explanation lies in the price. 60x60cm (24x24 inches) tiles cost significantly more. The difference is around 40€/m² (40€/sq ft). Additionally, these were clearance items.

We will continue on Monday – supposedly, the first ceiling slab will be installed on Thursday.

Thank you. That's quite possible, as it's located fairly centrally on the main road heading towards the Rhön. What brought you there? There's not enough snow for winter sports.
