Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

But the wallpaper hasn’t been painted yet... there’s always something missing.

It will certainly make it nice and bright. It will be finished eventually.

And it continues. The shower on the upper floor is fully tiled (except for the shampoo niche):

Shower with wood-look back wall, white side tiles, red valve and meter.

The bathtub is close to completion and will be finished tomorrow:

Renovation bathroom: bathtub, partially tiled walls, window and tools on the windowsill

And soon the tiler will move to the basement to continue work there:

Gray tiled floor in renovation room; floor drain on the left, stacked wooden slats on the right.

Great
For us, the tile installer will only come next week on Wednesday.
However, he plans to work during the period between Christmas and New Year.

Ours should be finished before Christmas. However, there is still quite a bit to do. In the basement, work under the stairs remains, as well as laying the floor in the ground floor bathroom, hallway, and office. The baseboards in the bathrooms and basement also need to be completed, followed by grouting and silicone sealing.

We are one of the three builders nationwide in Germany currently using a shower tray (90x90cm (35x35 inches)) instead of a tiled shower.

Shower area with dark tiles, sloping ceiling, and natural light from window in the bathroom.

But once I have finished the corner, it should hopefully become clear that this is perfectly fine.

Otherwise, the general contractor will need to hurry... handover is on the 22nd.

P.S. Our tiler was excellent! He worked alone and tiled the bathroom, guest toilet, and the entire ground floor within one week.
