That's what we have in mind as well. We will have a splash guard with gravel around the house, which we can then "continue" at that spot between the posts.
The thing is, although our patio is about 6m (20 feet) wide, it will only be 3.60m (12 feet) deep. With the posts set in the lawn, we don’t have to worry about precisely defining the foundation, and later we can fully use the 3.60m (12 feet) depth for sitting underneath.

After more than a year, we have finally managed to reinforce and plaster the solid concrete basement. The final coat of plaster will be applied in two weeks.
We have also finally found a landscaping gardener, who is already busy working behind the house.. 🙂

You must have built in a gap between houses. It feels like we have checked out almost every new development area in WÜ/SW/KT over the past two years. I don’t know your house. 😀
