Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Here is a photo of our bungalow. The handover is still planned for mid to late July but is uncertain due to delivery delays (enthalpy heat exchanger + electrical meter cabinet).

Single-family house under construction with gray facade, two windows, central entrance, and columned portico.

Small new build house with solar panels on the roof, surrounded by trees, construction site in front.

I’m a bit envious, in a positive way. We would have loved to build a bungalow, but our plot/site window was too small for it.

And you already have trees. We have to plant all our trees ourselves.

We are experiencing delivery problems with the gas condensing boiler. Otherwise, according to the construction schedule, our handover is also planned for mid to late July. A growing feeling is settling in that not much can go wrong now … Forum, please don’t prove me wrong in this one exception. ;-)

Wishing you all the best.

It’s just a little place with a tree protection ordinance. As a precaution, we cleared 90% of the property (about 1,500 sqm (16,145 sq ft)) and completed the replacement planting. When landscaping the garden (around 900 sqm (9,688 sq ft) at the back; 45 x 20 m (148 x 66 ft)) we will definitely plant more trees. In front, we have about 270 sqm (2,906 sq ft) (13.5 x 20 m (44 x 66 ft)) for the carport, driveway, etc. The only downside to the lot, if you can call it that, is the width of 20 m (66 ft).

On the left is still a forested lot, but the future neighbor will probably build there next year. On the right is already developed. The neighbor is a gardener and managing director of a landscaping company. That’s why we will put up a tall fence to avoid any conflicts over his beautiful garden *joking* 😎

The fence will be installed by July at the latest. The company is already chosen. It will look like this. The terrace will also be built. Those are the two most important things. The rest will come gradually.

I’m curious who will move in first. We will not terminate our apartment lease before August 31st (31.08).

The ground source heat pump is supposed to arrive as planned. The enthalpy heat exchanger for the mechanical ventilation with heat recovery and the meter cabinet are currently the main topics.
