Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

It was clear that I wouldn’t find it, but something similar. And I don’t want to install the Pinterest app.

For example, here there are only 60cm (24 inches) wide wall cabinets, but you can also use 40cm (16 inches) and 80cm (32 inches) ones—you just have to be creative.

Modern gray kitchen cabinets; open shelves with dishes/decor, white stool in front.

A 19mm (3/4 inch) plywood sheet would weigh about 12kg/m² (2.5lb/ft²).
If you choose custom sizes, the sheets will need to be cut to size, and then edge banding must be applied to the edges.

That’s roughly the same weight as the IKEA doors… and there you don’t need to apply edge banding. Here are three examples of different styles that can be combined. 😉

Large gray-green cabinet with nine panels, baskets on top in the living room.

White IKEA SMÅSTAD tall cabinet with two upper doors and several lower drawers.

Hallway view: beige wardrobe with mirror in front of blue wall, door to bedroom.

Here is a finished IKEA cabinet: graphic combinations with different sizes are very popular right now. I like it.

Wardrobe with white fronts and gray frame; left side with shelves and drawers

Nice!!! The gray-green ones look great.
Definitely more cost-effective than custom cutting, and 16mm (5/8 inch) thickness is more than enough.

Yes, I’m totally in love with the color too. I’m already thinking about which wall to put it on or where I could use another cabinet… but I don’t really need anything else new “on the surface” 😳 😕

One possibility would be to clad the wall behind the bed in the bedroom. I will probably implement something similar on one or two walls in the living area. Most likely even partially in two layers. But everything still needs to be planned 😳

Take a look at the Koni Ochsner Mondrian cabinet, maybe not for purchase (expensive), but definitely good for inspiration.
